Finally people are talking about Peak Oil, even Al-Gore believes it will soon happen “We almost are at or near what they call peak oil…” AL Gore (CNN, 14 June 2006).
Thanks for looking at my report on Peak Oil and its financial perspectives (why you should suffer from it? when you can make huge benefits!)

I was scrolling down the best sellers and stumbled upon how to make an impact within 90 days. This was the first book I thought anybody, manager or otherwsie could relate to if they were not looking for a specific subject matter.
And to be fair, at this point I will admit to only having pre-viewed the book and not downloaded the whole thing. So in the author's defence I can only assume that the extract that was chosen as a taster was not one of the "choice cuts" of the book.

But on with the review. One would assume with 90 days to make an impact the first thing you would read would perhaps be on how to set the tone, and reading different personalities etc, but instead it was on how to tackle the subject matter of personal hygiene with a subordinate? Please will someone explain to me how this task will help you make an impact in your first 90 days? The steps the author suggested were all very good and worth noting but they were not what I was looking for in terms of "making an impact". Not at all.

The paragraphs on the different types of managers were brief but to the point. Again because I hadn't read the book I can only hope perhaps s/he can goes on to give real life examples on dealing with these types of contrasting styles.
